WINCHESTER BAY — A North Bend man was admitted to Lower Umpqua Hospital in Reedsport after he crashed Saturday evening on Highway 101, police said this morning.

Gary Donald Francis, 59, told police he was driving around some cyclists at Milepost 218 at 5:48 p.m. when he lost control of his motorcycle, according to an Oregon State Police report.

He drove off the road and was thrown from the motorcycle.
