OMAHA, Neb. — A local woman recently graduated from Bellevue University.

Bellevue's winter commencement was held Jan. 30, in the Omaha Civic Auditorium.

Shanen Sue Taylor received a bachelor's in healthcare management.

Local girl attends national 4-H event
ROSEBURG — Nine 4-H high school students from Oregon were selected as the Oregon delegation to attend the National 4-H Congress in Atlanta, Ga., during the Thanksgiving weekend.

One Roseburg girl, Kayla Gordon, was among the delegates.

UCC raises money for Haiti
WINCHESTER — Students, faculty and staff raised nearly $1,000 for the victims and survivors of Haiti's earthquake.

With nickels and dimes, dollars and checks of $20 and more, college students, faculty and staff raised $835.

One man shot, dead in Reedsport
One man was found shot dead in Reedsport early Saturday morning.

Reedsport Police Department officers responded to a call at 2:02 a.m. that a man had been shot at 2050 1/2 Elm St., according to a department press release.
