Dates set for comedy shows

Comedian Rio Hillman will bring his “30 Days No Day Off” comedy tour to Douglas County in two performances.

Hillman will first perform at 6:30 p.m. May 2 at El Azteca Mexican Restaurant, 335 N. Main St., Myrtle Creek. Tickets for this 18-and-older show are $10, or $25 for dinner and a show. For tickets, reservations or more information, call 541-863-6808.

Hillman’s second performance will be at 9 p.m. May 4 at the 4 Play Lounge, 263 S. Main St., Winston. Tickets are $8 and are available at the 4 Play Lounge. For information, reservations and tickets, call 541-990-1414.

OAKLAND

Chamber Players return

The MarshAnne Chamber Players will return to Douglas County at 2 p.m. Saturday at MarshAnne Landing Winery, 175 Hogan Road, Oakland.

This ensemble features Oregon classical musicians playing chamber works of lesser-known instrument combinations. The ensemble includes violinist Searmi Park, former concertmaster for the Eugene Symphony; David Riley, professor of piano at the University of Oregon; and Louis DeMartino, assistant professor of clarinet and music appreciation at UO.

Tickets are $30 including appetizers. Reservations are required at 541-459-7998.
