ROSEBURG: Three sheep were found wandering around Northeast Stephens Street last week by a Douglas County Sheriff's Office animal control deputy.
Residents called police during the week reporting the wandering farm animals -- one ewe and two lambs. Animal Control Deputy Don Polk captured the animals Thursday on Northeast Stephens and Hooker Road.
Sheriff's office spokeswoman Pam Frank said without any place to store misplaced sheep at the office, Polk took them back to his home and pasture.
The owners are encouraged to call the sheriff's office at 440-4327 or 440-4417.
