ROSEBURG -- A Garden Valley Boulevard Texaco employee was arrested Thursday for allegedly using a customer's debit card to fill up his own vehicle with fuel.
Thayne Jay Jensen, 26, of Riddle already had his own vehicle parked at the island when a customer pulled up and asked for $10 worth of gas on April 21, according to Roseburg Police Sgt. Aaron Dunbar.
He allegedly swiped the card to pay for the customer's fuel and then ran around to where his vehicle was parked and charged a tank full of gas for himself.
The customer didn't discover the crime until her bank statement came back and she saw the additional charge. Police reviewed a video surveillance tape at the station before arresting Jensen.
He was charged on suspicion of felony computer crime, fraudulent use of a credit card and third-degree theft and lodged at the Douglas County Jail. He was scheduled for arraignment on the charges this afternoon.
