Umpqua Community College student Colleen Smalley of Roseburg received the first annual Ken and Bernie Kittleson Memorial Scholarship recently from the Endowment Committee of Faith Lutheran Church in Roseburg.
The scholarship was established in memory of Ken and Bernie Kittleson by the Kittleson family.
Smalley plans to graduate in spring 2005 with an associate's degree in general arts and letters. She was home schooled prior to enrolling at UCC in spring term 2003.
To be eligible, students must be members of the Faith Lutheran Church.
