Unincorporated town</b>
Located 16 miles west of Elkton on Highway 38, the community was named for Levi Scott, who also lent his name to Scott Mountain near Sutherlin and Glide, and Mount Scott in Crater Lake National Park. Scott was influential in developing the Applegate-Scott Trail to Oregon published the first newspaper in southwest Oregon and served in the Oregon Territorial Legislature. Today, the town has a post office and community center. The Wells Creek Inn is located just down the road, as is Bobs Market.
