RICE HILL: The Oregon Department of Transportation will be closing the Cabin Creek rest area five miles south of Rice Hill on Monday for repairs and maintenance. Located on southbound Interstate 5 near Milepost 143, the site is in need of concrete sidewalk repair work and other routine maintenance, according to ODOT. Advance warning signs will be placed along I-5 to notify motorists. The rest area will remain closed through Wednesday.
