Cyclist hurt after car turns in front of him

ROSEBURG: A motorcyclist was injured Wednesday afternoon when another motorist turned in front of him on Stewart Parkway.

William Webb, no age or hometown immediately available, was traveling northwest on Stewart Parkway near Mulholland Drive at about 2:57 p.m., when his 2004 Harley-Davidson was struck by a vehicle driven by Linda Buchanan, police said.

Buchanan went to turn left onto Aviation Drive and struck Webb, one of three motorcyclists traveling in a group, said Cpl. Monte Bryan of the Roseburg Police Department.

Webb was taken to Mercy Medical Center, where he was treated for a possible injury to his ribcage, Bryan said.

Buchanan was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.
