The winning acts in the Ricketts Revue dance group and dance solo category have been announced, following the preliminary competition Friday evening at the Stewart Park band shell in Roseburg.
The winning dancers advance to the semifinals set for 1 p.m. Saturday in the Umpqua Park Amphitheater at the Douglas County Fair. Of those, the top two acts in each category move on to the finals, set for 8 p.m. at the same location.
Semifinalists in the dance solo category are Chantel Snyder, Krissy Smith, Tanisha Crawford, Niki Keller-Hudson and Rachel Denny.
The following dance groups are also semifinalists.
n Tianna Bleigh, Mia Isaacson, Sarah Eckstein, Alisha Sprague and Laura Coalwell. They performed a modern jazz dance.
n Annie McFarline, Erika Chaney, Tara Johnson and Amanda Chaney. They performed a character dance to Napoleon Dynamite.
n Niki Keller-Hudson, Terri Wilcox, Norissa Gordon, Heather Walker and Krissy Smith. They danced on pointe to a Broadway show tune.
n Chelsey Santos, Tanisha Crawford and Terrin Misfieldt. They performed a modern lyrical dance.
n Hip hop dancers Elizabeth Denny, Rachel Denny and Chantel Snyder.
Other winners were announced following Wednesday and Thursday's rounds, bringing a total of 23 acts headed for the semifinals.
