Local women aim to get a jump-start on Douglas County weight loss efforts with TV-inspired contest

Contest participants: Kathy Terrel-Perez, left, and Lisa Warren are starting a weight loss contest inspired by NBC's reality show ‘The Biggest Loser.’ The women decided to start their own contest called ‘Douglas County's Biggest Loser,’ after their bid to join the NBC show failed. Their version of the contest starts Saturday and will last 25 weeks.
