WINCHESTER: Second-year Umpqua Community College nursing students will sponsor a Diabetes Health Promotion Seminar from noon to 1 p.m. Monday in the UCC Indian Room.
Representatives from Mercy Medical Center and UCC Nursing will discuss signs and symptoms of diabetes and why it has grown into a nationwide problem. The seminar will offer free body-mass index testing, health center day passes and recipes for diabetics.
