ROSEBURG: Gloria Johnson, director of Umpqua Bank's Club Carefree 50, will present a seminar "Traveling on a Shoestring" from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Umpqua Bank University and Training Center, 1740 N.W. Garden Valley Boulevard in Roseburg.
She has organized "shoestring" trips to New York, Europe, Africa, China, New Zealand and Costa Rica.
The seminar will present information on how people can make their travel dreams come true without spending a fortune, how to travel light and how to immerse oneself in the culture and create lasting memories of the lands visited and the people who live there.
