ROSEBURG: Two events in the next week will highlight raw food lifestyles locally.
Bridget Hameed is the guest speaker at the Douglas County Raw Food Group meeting Thursday. Hameed will discuss the health and life improvements she has experienced during her first year on a raw food diet.
The meeting is at 6:30 p.m. at the Mercy Community Education Center, 2459 Stewart Parkway, Roseburg.
On July 17, Sandor Ellix Katz, author of "Wild Fermentation: The Flavor, Nutrition and Craft of Live-Culture Foods," will discuss fermented foods.
The talk is open to the public, but donations are appreciated. That event begins at 6:30 p.m. and is also at the Mercy Community Education Center.
