ROSEBURG: The Roseburg Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a golf tournament Aug. 17.
Prizes and drawings from last year's event totaled more than $7,000. Golfers of all experience levels are encouraged to participate in the 18-hole scramble format.
The tournament is at the Roseburg Country Club. It begins with an 11 a.m. shotgun start and the day concludes with a "19th hole celebration."
The cost for a four-person team is $360, which includes team fees for golf, range balls, lunch, prizes and participation in the after-party with drinks and hors d'oeuvres.
Individual players are welcome and can pay $90 to be placed on a team. Half of all teams must be chamber members.
