Roseburg hits 104 as state sizzles

Hot enough for you? Some like it hot, some don't. Get ready for more.Roseburg was one of the state's hot spots Saturday, unofficially matching an all-time record for the date at 104 degrees, first set in 1978.Today's forecast for Roseburg and Douglas County calls for more hot temperatures near 100 degrees.Medford, Pendleton, Ontario and The Dalles all hit 106 degrees Saturday to lead the state's hotspots. Eugene hit a high of 98 and Portland 96. Redding, Calif., was a sizzling 112 degrees.Despite surging weekend temperatures, utility officials said they are confident there is enough power to keep Oregon's air conditioners …
