Poker benefits Glide football



ROSEBURG: The Glide Booster Club and football team will host the Southern Oregon Poker Challenge at 4 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.

The event is a no limit Texas Hold ’Em tournament with an $8,000 prize pool, paying the 10 seats at the final table with prepaid Visa cards. First prize is $2,000, second is $1,200 and third is $1,000.

Each player will have a free chance to win a new 2006 Ford F-150 4x4 crew cab pickup, as well as other gifts and prizes. Prizes are based on 200 entries and are subject to change.

The cost is a $50 buy-in for $500 in chips, with a $50 add-on and $25 re-buys, for a maximum of $200. Soft drinks and snacks are included.
