The Umpqua Valley Arts Association is offering a class called "A to Z of Acrylic" from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Umpqua Valley Arts Center, 1624 W. Harvard Ave., Roseburg.
The demo gives valuable information about Golden Acrylic by guiding students through the basic layers and opening up new possibilities. Students will learn the unique qualities of acrylics and get a grip on the many gels and mediums and how they affect the paint.
The class is designed to provide a working knowledge of acrylics. Each class member will receive a hand-painted color chart, literature packet and a sample pack of products.
Class limited to 15 students. Registration costs $5 for adult UVAA members and $13 for non-members.
An additional course, "Essential Acrylic Techniques" will be taught Nov. 16.
Information and registration: 672-2532.
