Roseburg adopted a sister Monday night, the Spanish city of Aranda de Duero.A thousand years Roseburg's elder, Aranda de Duero lies in the fertile wine country of the Duero River valley, 100 miles north of Madrid."We have the one in Japan and now the one in Spain and that opens up opportunities for education and for travel," said Mayor Larry Rich.Following Shobu, Japan, Aranda became Roseburg's second sister city after an effort that began in 2002.Earl Jones of Abacela Winery chose the city because like Roseburg, Aranda de Duero lies in a cool, rainy climate ideal for the tempranillo grape …
