Need to have business cards designed? A logo developed? Or how about old VHS tapes of family events or youth soccer games transferred to DVD?
A new Sutherlin business can do it all at once. Its called, conveniently enough, All In One Media World.
Ron and Leslie Akin opened the business in December.
Ron Akin, an Oregon native, spent 40 years in the recording business, including working as department head of mastering recordings for 122 record companies in the days of vinyl, eight-track tapes and cassettes.
Leslie Akin is a graphic artist and has designed more than 500 compact disc covers and press materials for musicians and businesses.
She is currently working on a complete logo identity project for a New Zealand bottled water company.
Sutherlin and the surrounding areas have embraced us, and many have said that they are so glad were here in this growing area, Leslie Akin said in a release.
All In One Media World offers CD and DVD duplication, graphic design and logo development. It also provides business card services including full-color creations, high-quality card stock and a free personal photograph for the cards.
The business also designs brochures and restaurant menus.
Information: 459-7784 or www.AllInOneMediaWorld.com.
GLIDE DENTISTRY: Work has started on a new dental practice in Glide.
Dentist Scott R. McAdoo broke ground on his building off the North Umpqua Highway, next to Little Pizza Paradise and the Illahee Restaurant.
A dentist since 1980, McAdoo and his wife moved to the area from Denver three years ago. They were encouraged to move west by their friends who own Marco Pharma International in Roseburg.
There was another reason for the move, though.
Have you seen the weather back there lately? McAdoo said.
McAdoo is currently working part time at a practice in Grants Pass. His facility will be 1,800 square feet, with all digital technology and four treatment rooms.
The hope is to have it finished in four months or so.
YOGA TIME: If yoga is good for you, free yoga has to be even better, right?
For its grand opening, Yoga with Terrie King in Roseburg is offering free classes through Feb. 10.
King has taught yoga since 2003. She said she had built up a student base teaching at other businesses.
I decided I wanted to teach in my own space, she said.
Yoga with Terrie King is at 919 S.E. Stephens St. The free classes are at 4:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
Information: 496-0376 or terrie@rosenet.net.
