SUTHERLIN: A man was injured after his pickup truck was rear-ended by an armored truck on Interstate 5 Monday morning.
Robert Douglas Alston, 54, of Sutherlin, was traveling northbound on I-5 near Milepost 131 around 10:40 a.m. when his white 1992 pickup truck was struck from behind by an Oregon Armored Services armored truck driven by Darron James Bubach, 45, of Eugene.
Alston was transferred by Medcom Ambulance to Mercy Medical Center, where he was treated and released. His truck received moderate damage, according to an Oregon State Police report of the incident.
Neither Bubach nor his passenger, Michael David Langford, 36, of Springfield, were injured, and the armored truck was not damaged.
An investigation of the accident is ongoing.
