<b>Arlu V. Wigington</b>

Age 94, of Roseburg, Oregon, passed away October 19, 2007. Arrangements pending. LONG & SHUCKLE MEMORIAL CHAPEL. 972-2611

<b>Vance Eugene Adams</b>

Age 78, of Winston, Oregon, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2007. Arrangements pending. TAYLOR’S FAMILY CHAPEL 541-679-6983.

<b>Dale Leroy Allred</b>

Age 81, passed away Friday, October 5, 2007, at OHSU in Portland, Oregon. He was born May 20 1926, in Chester, Utah, to Leroy and Mary Allred. He attended schools in Utah and received his BS and MS from Utah State University and began teaching school as well as working at Hill Air Force Base. He followed that by attending Purdue University, where he received his PhD. Dale and family moved to Roseburg, Oregon, in 1959, where he was employed as a clinical psychologist at the V.A. Medical Center. He also maintained a private practice where he performed services for individuals, Douglas County and the State of Oregon. Although he retired from the V.A. in 1984, he continued his private practice. In 1982, Dale was asked by the People to People Citizen Ambassador Program to join a delegation of 34 people to go to China, shortly after it had opened it’s doors again to the free world. Their purpose was to promote goodwill and understanding as well as exchange ideas and information with their Chinese counterparts. Dale was widely known in the Roseburg area due to his wide interests in the community and well as the arts. He taught classes at Umpqua Community College and remote classes through U of O as well as the Rod and Gun Club. Some of his classes included psychology, photography, drawing, painting and sculpting. Other great interests included flying (both small and remote-control planes), scuba diving, hiking and story-telling (he was a member of several writing groups in the area). Dale is survived by his wife, Lucille; sons, Lee Allred of Utah; Michael Allred and wife, Laura of Oregon; Curtis Allred and wife, Sheli of Utah; step-son, Jerry Gose of Nebraska; and step-daughter, Jeanette Head of Washington; sisters, Erna Butler and husband, Raymond and Claralynn Hughes and husband, Enoch; and ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A celebration of Dale’s life will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2007, at the Umpqua Valley Arts Association at 4 p.m.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Novmeber 3, 2007, at 2 p.m., at the Lost Creek Wayside in South Beach, Oregon. For information please contact Jennifer High at 541-672-1277.
