Two hospitalized after two-vehicle crash

WINSTON: Two people remained in the hospital this morning following a two-vehicle crash on North Main Street Sunday.

Floyd Bodfield, 60, of Tenmile was riding a 2004 Harley-Davidson north on Main when a Dodge Magnum driven by Larry Stembridge, 47, of Myrtle Creek pulled out from Baker Street and struck the motorcycle around 1:40 p.m., said Chief Scott Gugel with the Winston Police Department.

Bodfield and his passenger, Frances Bodfield, 57, were taken by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg. They were both listed in fair condition this morning, hospital staff said.

Gugel said both were wearing helmets.
