Age 95, of Roseburg, Oregon, peacefully went to sleep in Jesus on December 4, 2007, and now awaits her Saviors return. Jan was born January 28, 1912, in Newton, Massachusetts. She came to the West Coast at age 15, after the death of her mother. That is where she met and married her first husband, Fred Wheeler. To this union were born two children Joanne Jodee and Richard Dick. Fred preceded her in death in 1950. In 1952, Jan met and married Charles (Bill) Sieck from which union Phillip Sieck was born. Jan worked at Forest Glen Hospital for almost 25 years as a nurse before she retired. After her retirement, she became active in the Myrtle Creek Seventh-day Adventist Church community service center. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting beautiful afghans. Jan leaves to mourn her passing her husband of 55 years, Bill Sieck, of Roseburg; daughter, Jodee and her husband, Duane Corwin, of Roseburg; son, Dick Wheeler and his wife, Eva (Mike) of Enterprise, Oregon; son, Phil Sieck and his wife, Laurel of Roseburg; along with nine grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Jan was a long time member of the Myrtle Creek Seventh-day Adventist Church where her memorial service will be conducted Saturday, December 22, 2007, at 2:30 p.m., with Pastor Charles Disney officiating.
