GLENDALE -- Glendale rebounded from a shaky first quarter and was dominant in the fourth to earn their first win of the season, 64-33 against
Lowell.
Lowell jumped out to a 17-12 lead after the first quarter, but the Pirates held it to 16 points the rest of the way and went on an 18-1 run to close out the game.
Glendale's Jesse Boucher led all players with 15 points and J.C. Borreson added 12. Dustin Gibson led the Red Devils with 13 points.
"We came out and didn't play very good, but then caused some turnovers and got some easy baskets to put it away," Glendale coach Brandon Standridge said. "Everybody played and everybody scored, so that was good for all of the guys."

COOS BAY -- Marist held off a late Roseburg comeback in the semifinals of the Les Schwab South Coast Classic, hitting key free throws down the stretch after the Tribe pulled within 3.
The Indians led 14-10 after the first quarter but a run gave the Spartans a 6-point lead at halftime.
"We didn't execute in the second half and that's what we needed to win the game," Roseburg coach Craig Stinnett said. "It comes down to execution and we didn't do a good job of that today."
Dustin Waldron scored 16 points and David Burney had 15 and Gianni Carter added 13 for Marist.
Zach Hancock led Roseburg with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Jake Cavens added 11 points.

Andrew Young, Joey Lee, and Matt Dickson all had 11 to balance out Oakland's scoring. Solomon Sturgill, Young, and Dickson were leading rebounders with six each. Young also had three assists and three steals, Coleton Baker had five steals, four assists, and five rebounds to go along with seven points.

SALEM -- Dustin Andes had 20 points, 15 assists, seven steals and seven rebounds and Tyler Vancil scored 25 points to lead a balanced scoring attack for the Warriors, who pulled ahead in overtime against Umatille and never looked back on the second day of the Salem Academy Tournament.
Levi Russell scored 21 points to lead Umatilla. Kyle Anderson had 17 poionts and Cameron Derrick added 19 points and three of the Warriors 10 3-point field goals.
They're better than the team we lost to," said North Douglas coach Shane Mast, whose team lost to Valley Catholic, 70-55, on Thursday. "I'm proud of the way we came out in the first quarter."
