More than $44,000 has been raised by the two Roseburg businessmen seeking the Republican nomination to replace Rep. Susan Morgan in the Oregon House of Representatives.
Jim Fox has raised $24,565 in cash and in-kind donations, while Tim Freeman has raised $19,796.
The donations for Fox, the owner of James Fox Realty and the Fox Den Eateries chain, include $15,000 from family members. His wife, Lorraine, donated $5,000 and he received $10,000 from the couples two sons and their families.
Other large cash donations include $2,500 from the political action committee of the Oregon Restaurant Association and $500 from Daryl Richardson of Junction City. Umpqua Dairy provided $805 in in-kind donations.

Fox also collected $2,720 in donations of $100 or less, according to records from the Oregon Secretary of States Office.
Freeman, the owner of Garden Valley Shell and a member of the Roseburg City Council, received $2,500 each from Ron Preston of Roseburg, from Friends of Bruce Hanna and from the Promote Oregon Leadership PAC. Beckley Excavation gave $2,000, while Charles Ireland Jr. of Myrtle Creek and Terrafirma Foundation Repair and the Oregon Soft Drink PAC gave $1,000 each.
Freeman also took in $2,820 from donations of $100 or less.
Freeman reported the most campaign expenses so far, $17,343. The bulk of that, $12,015, went to Adams & Co., a Salem consulting firm that advises Republican candidates. He also spent $3,809 with Gateway Communications, a Portland company that produces brochures and other campaign materials.
