MYRTLE CREEK: A 25-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after he was allegedly found with methamphetamine during a traffic stop on Interstate 5 near the Boomer Hill interchange.
Javier Leon Zazueta, address unknown, was pulled over in a Honda Accord for a traffic infraction as he was heading north around 3 p.m., according to an Oregon State Police report.
During the stop, police asked to search the vehicle and Leon consented. A Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team detective with a drug-sniffing dog responded and found what was described as a large amount of methamphetamine in the vehicle, according to the report.
DINT officers took over the investigation and Leon was lodged at the Douglas County Jail. He was accused of the unlawful possession, manufacture and delivery of meth, and was also lodged on a hold from Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
