Riekeman: Hits pair of homers against Warriors
EUGENE The third-ranked Roseburg softball team dominated South Eugene, sweeping the Southwest Conference doubleheader by identical scores of 11-0 both in five innings to extend their winning streak to 12 games.
Mikayla Endicott pitched a perfect game in the opener, striking out all 15 batters she faced. Roseburg (13-3-1, 8-0 SWC) scored 10 runs in the first inning.
Nikki Bassett went 2-for-3 with two triples and two RBIs, and freshman Breanne Thomas 2-for-2 with three RBIs.
Kendra George and freshman Marissa Duarte combined on a two-hitter in the nightcap, Duarte picking up her first varsity decision. Duarte struck out five, walked two and hit a batter in three innings of work.
Bassett continued her hot hitting, stroking three hits in four at-bats and knocking in two runs. Whitney Harris went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, and Tori Walker belted a solo home run in the second inning, her second round-tripper of the week.
I liked our intensity a lot better today than when they came to our park (on April 15), said Roseburg coach Tony Campos. We jumped on them early in both games and kept the intensity up, and I was pleased with that,
The Indians will host Sheldon in an SWC makeup game on Monday, weather permitting. Roseburg is scheduled to play at North Medford Tuesday.

RIDDLE Taylor Riekeman hit home runs in each game of Riddles doubleheader sweep of North Douglas. The Irish assumed sole possiession of second place in the Mountain View Conference with the wins.
Reikeman finished 6-for-8 on the day. Stevie Hooley improved to 11-1 on the mound by getting the decision in both games.
The Irish broke a 4-4 tie in the bottom of the seventh inning of the nightcap as Ashley Yackamouihs line-drive single to center scored Stephanie Maurer from third. The Warriors rallied in the top half of the inning as Mariah Wilson double home Kaittlyn Rice.
Ashleigh Meza and Rice each went 3-for-4 with a double for North Douglas (10-6, 10-3 MVC).
North Douglas gave us a challenge, Riddle coach Tami Hackett said. Whenever we scored they came right back on us. It was a well-played game.

DAYS CREEK Christy Stone retired 11 batters and allowed zero walks in a complete-game win and the Wolves forced the Cougars to use four different pitchers in a sweep.
Days Creek stole six bases in Game 1 and got an RBI double from Julia Kehoe in the third inning.
KDean Ramos went the distance in the nightcap, striking out five. Stephanie Rogers cracked a two-RBI single in the fourth inning.
Days Creek (8-9, 7-6 Mountain View Conference) will host Oakridge in a makeup twin bill this week.

YONCALLA Amber Mast didnt allow an earned run in an entire doubleheader, leading Yoncalla to a sweep of Oakridge. Mast struck out eight and scattered four hits in the opener, then gave up only two hits in the nightcap.
She was rock solid from the opening pitch to the last out, Yoncalla coach Bid Van Loon said. It was senior day and she played her best doubleheader ever in her last game here.
Shelby Gilpin powered the Eagle offense, going 2-for-2 with two runs and an RBI in Game 1, then tripling in Game 2. Hayley Reynolds hit a pair of doubles in Game 2 while Amber Thorp and Kylar Ruiz both went 2-for-3.
Yoncalla improved to 7-7 and 6-6 in the Mountain View Conference and hosts Riddle on Monday.

GLENDALE Ashley Marriott tripled, doubled and went 6-for-8 on the day in leading Glendale to a throttling of Monroe.
Gretchen Owens hit a home run and picked up both wins on the mound, improving to 11-0. The Pirates are now 14-0 and 10-0 in the Mountain View Conference.
Samantha Prock hit a pair of doubles and Faith Williams went 2-for-3 in the opener. Lexii Lovelady, Rori Lovemark and Marriott added doubles in the nightcap.
Ashley carried a big bat for us, Glendale coach Andy Owens said. She stepped up and is having fun playing ball after an early slump this season.
