OAKLAND: A Wilderville man was injured in a motorcycle wreck Thursday afternoon in Oakland.

At 2:42 p.m., Kevin L. Fieguth, 52, of Wilderville (west of Grants Pass) was riding his 1984 Harley-Davidson motorcycle in the 13000 block of Elkhead Road, according to Dwes Hutson, spokesperson for the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

Fieguth veered to the shoulder of the road to avoid hitting another motorcyclist in front of him. His rear tire hit some loose gravel, causing him to lay his motorcycle on its side.

Fieguth complained of shoulder pain. Drain Ambulance transported him to Mercy Medical Center. He was treated and released, Mercy spokeswoman Kathleen Nickel said.

His vehicle was towed from the scene.
