SUTHERLIN: Chef Serge Queant will be the guest at the next Whats For Dinner class, a monthly series coordinated by the Oregon State University Master Food Preservers.
The class is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Sutherlin Community Center.
Queant, who has a French background, will demonstrate, prepare and serve a luncheon that will include a salad course, a chicken florentine entrée, a side of vegetable ratatouille with couscous, and a strawberry sabayon dessert.
Serge is a world-class chef who has cooked for many foreign dignitaries before retiring to Roseburg. His philosophy on food is all things fresh in season, simple and delicious, and beautiful presentation.
He will shares his recipes and preparation tips.
The class is limited to 24 participants. The cost is $15 per person. Pre-registration with the OSU Extension Service at 1134 S.E. Douglas Ave., Roseburg, is mandatory.
