Prior to forming any opinion on this subject, I would first like to know what person or persons are in charge of making this list, and whether they have ever rubbed elbows or patted backs with an organized cell of wealthy polar bear lovers or any of the many celebrities, politicians and global warming experts that are glacier-diving in the taxpayers wallets.
I have heard it said that humans are these creatures natural predators, yet whether or not our actions affect their environment, I have never heard mention of such animals being hunted for sport or consumption. Western humans have in fact taken the care of these and numerous other species upon themselves, something unheard of amongst other predators. Therefore, so long as Western civilization is mindful of them, as we are presently, I have no fears that polar bears shall soon face threat of extinction.

Polar bears! We all love polar bears! What, theyre endangered? When did this happen? Most of us know, at least Al Gore told us, that global warming is happening.
But, I guess I never considered there are some of Gods little (or not so little) creatures living in these threatened places, i.e. the Arctic.
Now Im not going to proclaim myself a polar bear expert, but if their land (and life) is threatened, then by all means there needs to be protection for them.
But how do we save them? We cant exactly just tell the world to stop warming or turn down the heat. Its not like the world has a thermostat.
Sadly, I would have to say that there really isnt much we can do. Sure, we can put them in zoos. But would they like that? No. This is just the worlds way of removing species. Cant exactly stop it, because that would be like, controlling the world. And we all know we cant do that. (wink)

First off, I have to say that we as humans are taking this planet for granted. We litter, use endless resources, and most of us never look for a way to counteract our bad habits.
I was recently at this years Honda Civic tour, which centers around our environment and what we as inhabitants of this planet can do to keep it functioning properly.
It showed me new, innovative ways to keep our planet healthy, and how to get others to do the same. Which brings me to my point.
Yes, I most certainly think the polar bears should be included on the endangered species list.
Not because the polar bears are in immediate danger, but because their environment is. If that fails, then so does their way of life. Its our duty to be humane citizens and do all we can to keep this world a clean, diverse, and beautiful place.
