POLICE LOG

Tuesday

Douglas County sheriff

5:57 a.m. — Criminal mischief, three vehicles broken into on the 100 block of East First Avenue, Riddle.

8:10 a.m. —Burglary and theft of fireworks near the 400 block of West Pacific Avenue, Glendale.

10:43 a.m. — Theft case assigned on the 700 block of Broadway Avenue, Winchester Bay.

11:03 a.m. — Dog impounded on the 800 block of Nash Street, Roseburg.

12:56 p.m. — Dog impounded on the 700 block of Military Road, Roseburg.

1:00 p.m. — Report of theft of Social Security check on the 100 block of Birch Street, Yoncalla.

4:49 p.m. — Case assigned for theft of 550 gallons of gasoline on the 34600 block of Tiller Trail Highway, Tiller.

4:29 p.m. — Case assigned for theft of car wheels on the 700 block of Pruner Road, Myrtle Creek.

6:24 p.m. — Report of two dogs attacking goats. One dog now deceased.

6:29 p.m. — Report of small oil spill at Loon Lake dock, Reedsport.

6:43 p.m. — Disorderly conduct, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of stolen property on the 400 block of Barton Road.

Reedsport Police

8:43 p.m. — Driving under the influence of intoxicants, vehicle impounded at the intersection of 4th Street and Fir Avenue.

11:53 p.m. — Driving without a license, vehicle impounded at the intersection of 5th Street and East Railroad Avenue.

Roseburg Police

12:11 a.m. — Assault on Diamond Lake Boulevard.

6:38 a.m. — Report of criminal mischief to a church on the 1100 block of Malheur Avenue.

10:21 a.m. — Theft of movies, games from drop box on the 1100 block of Garden Valley Boulevard.

2:06 p.m. — Theft of ratchets and tool set on the 1400 block of Garden Valley Boulevard.

2:59 p.m. — Sex offense case assigned on the 1100 block of Garden Valley Boulevard.

3:00 p.m. — Sex offense case assigned near the intersection of Broccoli Street and Lorraine Avenue.

4:28 p.m. — Theft of cell phone on the 700 block of Garden Valley Boulevard.

9:05 p.m. — Criminal mischief case assigned on the 2000 block of Stewart Park Drive.

Winston Police

12:51 p.m. — Motorcycle stolen on Newton Drive.



ACCIDENTS

Tuesday

Douglas County sheriff

8:55 a.m. — Two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 99 South and southbound Interstate 5 Exit 120. No injuries reported.

12:18 p.m. — Dump truck on fire in ditch on the 1200 block of Riddle Bypass Road near railroad tracks. No injuries reported.

8:56 p.m. — Unknown injury accident on the 14000 block of Highway 99 South. Winston Dillard Fire Department and Ambulance also responded.

Myrtle Creek Police

8:48 p.m. — Vehicle accident at the intersection of Laura Street and Walnut Street, man arrested. No injuries reported.

Oregon State Police

5:26 p.m. — Vehicle hit a sign and went into ditch on Interstate 5 Milepost 103. No injuries reported.

Roseburg Police

11:41 a.m. — Report of two-vehicle accident near the 100 block of Northeast Garden Valley Boulevard, unknown injuries.

8:56 p.m. — Non-injury two-vehicle accident on the 500 block of Oak Avenue.



ARRESTS

The News-Review publishes the names of individuals who have been arrested on suspicion of at least one felony charge or three misdemeanors or a combination of felony and misdemeanor charges.

Tuesday

Douglas County sheriff

Maurice Turner, 48, of Azalea, on suspicion of theft by receiving and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Christopher Wesley Waddell, 18, of Myrtle Creek, on suspicion of resisting arrest, driving under the influence, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, recklessly endangering others and reckless driving.

Roseburg Police

Rhonda Leann Gardenhire, 33, of Roseburg, on suspicion of fourth-degree misdemeanor assault, recklessly endangering another and second-degree criminal mischief.



FIRE RUNS

Tuesday

Douglas County Fire District No 2

4:46 p.m. — Vehicle fire near the intersection of Green Siding Road and Roscoe Street. Winston Dillard Fire Department also responded.
