Wednesday, July 9

First-Ever Green-Winston Poker Run — 2 to 4 p.m., with a Show & Shine and dinner from 4 to 6 p.m., Ray’s Food Place, 4601 Carnes Road, Green. Registration from 2 to 3 p.m.; pre-1972 vehicles only. Entry fee is $15 and includes the poker run, show and a barbecue chicken dinner for two. Event is a benefit for Camp Millennium and will include prizes and awards. 430-6312, 679-0119, 430-8721.

Kick Off to Graffiti Show — 3 to 8 p.m., Roseburg Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Entry starts at 11 a.m. Honors veterans in 2008 and includes a Show & Shine and a barbecue fundraiser for Camp Millennium. Sponsored by Sherms Thunderbird and the Roseburg VA and hosted by Douglas County Muscle Cars. 680-1230.

Thursday, July 10

Retirement & Rest Home Exhibits — Meet at 12:30 p.m. by the Subway sandwich shop on Stephens Street in Roseburg. The tour will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. at area senior centers. 673-8543, 672-2359.

Cruizin’ and Viewin’ — 6 to 10 p.m., TenDown & Splitz Bar and Grill, 2400 N.E. Diamond Lake Blvd., Roseburg. Outdoor music and barbecue. 672-3601.

Surprise Cruise — 8 to 10 p.m. The cruise will go by the A&W and Fast Stop Market on Diamond Lake Boulevard and Pete’s Drive-In on Harvard Avenue, and will head out Old Highway 99 South in Green. 672-2359.

The New Starlite Drive-In — 8 p.m. opens; outdoor movie 9:00 p.m., Douglas County Museum rear parking lot. $10 car load. Classic movie treats, room for blankets and chairs up front. Plenty of parking. Movie will be “Bye, Bye Birdie.” 957-7007, www.douglasmuseum.com.

“Days of Old” Graffiti Celebration — 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Roseburg Town Center, Jackson Street. Graffiti Weekend information booth, sidewalk sales, participant gift and discounts. 672-1235.

Purple Foot Gang Poker Run — Registration from 9 to 11 a.m. Starts and ends at the Sutherlin Community Building, 150 S. Willamette St., Sutherlin. Benefit event with $10 registration. $300 in cash prizes for poker hands. A traditional poker run featuring a new route, goody bags, dash plaques and trophies including the “Big Pedotti.” 459-2189, 459-3773.

Show-n-Shine at the Races — Show & Shine registration from 2 to 3 p.m.; gates open at 3 p.m. and racing starts at 6:05 p.m., Douglas County Fairgrounds & Speedway. Featured race is the NASCAR Camping World Series Toyota Bi-Mart Firecracker 150. Free admission for driver only, with a 100 car limit; tickets at gate are $30, while advance tickets at Bi-Mart are $25. Includes a parade lap and burnout competition. “Bikes, Trikes and Hot Rods” — Registration from 4 to 6 p.m. for Cruise “In” Show & Shine at Mike’s Trikes on Highway 138 East in Glide. Gates open at 3 p.m., with awards at 7 p.m. Dash plaques for first 100; Benefit for the Glide Volunteer Fire Department. River Forks Show-n-Shine — Registration 8 to 11 a.m.; show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., River Forks Park, Roseburg. Trophies, raffles, food booths, free shuttle bus service. Open to first 500 cars, 1975 and older. No 4x4s. No pets per park regulations. No entry free or admission, but donations will be accepted. Presented by Stray Angels Car Club. 679-7868, 440-8455.

Collector Car Auction — 8 a.m., viewing opens; 9:30 a.m., toys and memorabilia auction; 10 a.m., car auction, Douglas County Fairgrounds Complex, Douglas Hall, Roseburg. No advance registration required; admission is $10, which includes a dash plaque; vehicle registration and proof of insurance required. Vehicles must be 1965 or older. Graffiti Drags — Gate and tech line open at noon at the Douglas County Speedway, Roseburg. Track opens at 1 p.m.; grudge racing until 3 p.m.; King of the Hill at 4 p.m. Entry fee is $15; driver’s license required; open to all cars; pit pass admission is $5. 672-8744.

Seven Feathers Outdoor Event — noon to 5 p.m., outdoor barbecue, Seven Feathers Hotel & Casino Resort, Canyonville. Hot dogs, $2; cheeseburgers, $3. Outdoor concert featuring The Boomer Band at 6 p.m. Graffiti Weeks-End Fun Run cars on display; $20,000 classic cash giveaway. (800) 548-8461.
