A 31-year-old woman has been indicted on charges stemming from the Feb. 1 death of Roseburg resident Lance Michael Emmons outside a bar on Southeast Stephens Street.

A Douglas County grand jury charged Brindy Ann Gilkison with first-degree manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide on Tuesday, according to the indictment filed in Douglas County Circuit Court Wednesday.

A warrant was issued for her arrest Wednesday and the woman was booked into the Douglas County Jail today.

She is being held on a total of $425,000 bail.

Emmons, 34, died following a fight in the parking lot outside Joe’s Sugar Pine Inn, after a night of performing at the bar with his band.

Police reported that Emmons was beat in the head and face shortly after midnight and was pronounced dead at Mercy Medical Center a short time later.
