I read with interest a letter about the price gouging at the local gas stations. Before I buy gas, I go to a Website http://autos.msn.com/everyday/GasStations.aspx. You will have to put in a zip code of where you wish to buy gas, and it will bring up most of the stations in that area.
I think you will be surprised to see just how bad we in Roseburg are being gouged. If you are traveling north, you should stop in Cottage Grove or Creswell (20 cents cheaper) (zip is 97426). If you are traveling to Portland, stop in at Salem where gas is $3.86 (Aug. 13) their zip is 97301.
What will really blow your mind is when you see that gas is selling for in North Sioux City, South Dakota. Would you like to buy gas at $3.19 a gallon? Yes, we in Roseburg are really being ripped off.
