Gresham edges Roseburg football in opener, 23-21

The Roseburg Indians opened their season with a 23-21 road loss to the Gresham Gophers on Friday. Nick Ingram connected on a 23-yard field goal with 3:18 remaining in the game to give the Gophers the lead, which they would not relinquish.

Roseburg hosts the McNary Celtics at Finlay Field at 7 p.m. next Friday.
