These logs are the highlights of initial emergency calls and reports to the Douglas County Dispatch Center. They do not represent all the incidents or their final outcomes.



POLICE LOG

Monday

Douglas County sheriff

8:06 a.m. — Horses at large near the intersection of Carol Court and Goodrich Highway. Owner located and notified.



Myrtle Creek Police

5:35 p.m. — Case assigned for hit-and-run on the 100 block of Harry Lane.



Reedsport Police

9:08 a.m. — Report of attempted burglary on the 2600 block of Bowman Road.

10:51 a.m. — Investigated report of driftwood fire on the 1st Beach parking lot. Winchester Bay Fire Department also responded and Coos Forest Protection was notified.

1:40 p.m. — Report of structure fire investigated on the 3000 block of Frontage Road. Reedsport Fire Department and Ambulance, Winchester Bay Fire Department and Gardiner Fire Department also responded.

8:02 p.m. — Driving under the influence of intoxicants on the 1400 block of Highway Avenue.



Roseburg Police

1:12 a.m. — Shoplifting theft on the 200 block of Garden Valley Boulevard.

12:58 p.m. — Report of tree limb obstructing view of stop sign at the intersection of Beulah Drive and Lincoln Street. Douglas County Road Department notified.

2:42 p.m. — Hit-and-run on the 2400 block of Edenbower Boulevard.

4:49 p.m. — Hit-and-run on the 500 block of Kane Street.

4:57 p.m. — Case assigned for fraud from the 400 block of Main Street.

5:26 p.m. — Theft on the 1400 block of Garden Valley Boulevard.

7:28 p.m. — Theft of cell phone reported on the 800 block of Southeast Stephens.

9:274 p.m. — Theft of beer on the 300 block of Harvard Avenue.



Sutherlin Police

1:28 a.m. — Disturbance on the 300 block of Northeast Second Street, Oakland.

10:53 a.m. — Case assigned for criminal mischief on the 100 block of Southeast First Street, Oakland.



ACCIDENTS

Monday

Oregon State Police

10:43 a.m. — Semitruck accident on Interstate 5 Milepost 112 damaged approximately a 50-foot section of guardrail. Medcom Ambulance and Myrtle Creek Fire Department also responded, no injuries reported.

5:22 p.m. — Accident on southbound Interstate 5 Milepost 115. Douglas County Fire District No. 2, Medcom Ambulance and Winston Dillard Fire Department also responded, no injuries reported.



Roseburg Police

9:52 a.m. — Unknown injury vehicle and bicycle accident at the intersection of Douglas Avenue and Southeast Stephens Street. Roseburg Fire Department and Medcom Ambulance also responded.

11:47 a.m. — Two-vehicle accident on the 200 block of Southeast Stephens Street. No injuries reported.

4:53 p.m. — Two-vehicle accident on the 400 block of Northeast Stephens Street. Roseburg Fire Department and Medcom Ambulance also responded, no injuries reported.



Sutherlin Police

4:16 p.m. — Two-vehicle accident on the 2200 block of South Calapooya Street. No injuries reported.



Winston Police

3:23 p.m. — Report that a truck forced another vehicle off the roadway into poles protecting utility box. No injuries mentioned.



ARRESTS

The News-Review publishes the names of individuals who have been arrested on suspicion of at least one felony charge or three misdemeanors or a combination of felony and misdemeanor charges.

Monday

Douglas County sheriff

Christopher Ryan Baker, 23, of Myrtle Creek, on suspicion of harassment, menacing, strangulation, third-degree sexual abuse, and contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor.

Diana Lee Timmerman, 49, of Idleyld Park, on suspicion of first-degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest.



Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team

Ricky Farrell Gibbons, 20, of Myrtle Creek, on suspicion of unlawful manufacture of marijuana.



Roseburg Police

Helen Joy Demaranville, 33, of Winston, on suspicion of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

Todd Sande, 40, of Roseburg, on suspicion of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

Clayton Roy Shay, 25, of Roseburg, on suspicion of unlawful possession of prescription drugs.



FIRE RUNS

Monday

Douglas County Fire District No. 2

5:13 p.m. — Report investigated of semitruck with possible tire fire on southbound Interstate 5 Milepost 123.



Fair Oaks Rural Fire District

6:25 p.m. — Investigated report of grass fire on the 16000 block of Nonpareil Road. Sutherlin and Oakland Fire Departments also responded.



Reedsport Fire Department

1:36 p.m. — Food fire on cookstove set curtains on fire on the 3000 block of Frontage Road.



Riddle Fire Department

12:59 p.m. — Fire alarm on the 100 block of South Main Street.



Roseburg Fire Department

6:26 a.m. — Report investigated of possibly out-of-control campfire on the 300 block of Harvard Avenue.

10:32 a.m. — Fire alarm investigated on the 1400 block of Northeast Stephens Street.

3:05 p.m. — Bark mulch fire on the 1300 block of Harvard Avenue.



Winchester Bay Fire Department

10:47 a.m. — Report investigated of logs on fire in grassy dunes area on the 1000 block of Salmon Harbor Drive.
