Carol D. Welch

Age 74, of Veneta, Oregon, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2008. She was a resident of Veneta since 1979. She was born on October 16, 1933, to parents, Knute and Allie (Surell) Fahlstrom. She was in the banking industry when she was young, and she was a homemaker for the majority of her life. She was married to William “Norman” Welch Sr. on March 10, 1956, in Astoria, Oregon. She graduated from Astoria High School. She is preceded in death by her husband, William “Norman” Welch Sr. in September 2007; daughter, Jennifer Welch. Carol is survived by her children, William Norman Welch Jr. of Veneta; Teresa G. Welch of Portland, Oregon and David Erland Welch of Otis, Oregon and seven grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on on Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Musgrove Family Center. Memorial contributions may be made to The Blind Commision.
