EUGENE The Roseburg High cross country team had a top five finisher in each race of the handicapped, coed format Southwest Conference pre-district meet Tuesday at Alton Baker Park.
Runners were divided into freshmen, sophomore and junior/senior races, with girls getting a three-minute head start on the boys.
Bryanna Oelrich and Sam Pettibone finished third and fourth, respectively among junior and senior girls. Salvador Valencia had the top time among any Roseburg boy, finishing second in the sophomore race in 18:06. Drew Van Anrooy was fifth in 18:48.
The Indians were first in freshmen team scoring as Aaron Swanson and Tyler Becherer were second and third among boys and Allison Churchill was third among girls. Tribe sophomores were second as a team and the junior/seniors were fifth.

Spencer runs under 20 minutes in N. Bend invite
LAKESIDE Sutherlins Chelsea Spencer turned in a 5,000-meter lifetime best at the North Bend Invitational, running the Tugman State Park course in 19 minutes, 35 seconds.
Spencers runner-up finish to Sydney Snook of Gold Beach (19:05) helped the Bulldogs to a fifth place team finish. Siuslaw edged 5A Thurston for the team title.
Douglas Emily James placed sixth in 20:28.
On the boys side, D.J. Flores of South Umpqua placed fourth in 17:00 and North Douglas Tyson Tinnes was ninth in 17:37. North Bends Trevor Berrian won the race in 16:10, but Thurston had four of the next five finishers to easily take the team title.

Bowdoin, Baldovino tops at Crusader Invitational
MEDFORD New Hope Christians Jacob Bowdoin won the Crusader Invitational at Bear Creek Park in 17:23 and Cascade Christian beat out Lakeview for the team title with 36 points. Lakeviews Ashley Baldovino was the girls champion and St. Marys easily won the team title.
