Mind, Body, Spirit Fair

Second Annual Mind, Body, Spirit Fair, Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Unity Church of Roseburg, 507 N.E. Winchester St. With the theme of “learn to challenge your mind, relieve your body and uplift your spirit,” the fair offers, meditation, massage, Reiki, prayer and a labyrinth. 957-1452.



Kids Community Carnival

Kids Community Carnival, Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm. at Christian Life Center, 750 NE Alameda Ave., Roseburg. Tickets are 25 cents each or 5 for $1. All games are 1 ticket. Popcorn, cotton candy and soda available. The "Perfect Praise Puppets" will be doing puppet songs and skits at 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. There will be a special appearance by Rovercomer our church mascot. Carol Stavick Watercolor

Sept. 7 through 28 the gallery will be showcasing water color artist, Carol Stavik at the Center for Spiritual Living, 1949 S.E. Stephens, Roseburg. (Behind Young’s Nursery.) Sundays, 9 a.m. to noon; Wednesdays, 1 to 3 p.m.; other times available, call John at 863-0494. Church: 229-5000.



Precept Bible Courses

Sept. 8 through March 9, interdenominational Precept Bible course, "The Church: rooted in love, walking in power” (Ephesians) will be held at 6 p.m. on Mondays at 402 S.E. Pear St., Oakland. Learn to study the Bible for yourself for teens and adults. Facilitated by Victoria Fuller. Optional materials fee $20.50. Info and pre-registration: 459- 3756 or 459-5890.

Oasis Women’s Bible Study

Wellspring Bible Fellowship, 2245 N.W. Kline St., Roseburg. Oasis Women’s Bible Study started last week and will meet Tuesdays from 9:15 to 11:30 a.m. with free childcare for ages 12 weeks to 5 years. There is also a class on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m., but no childcare. Material fee for the year-long class is $20 with scholarships available for those who cannot pay. 679-7456.



House of Prayer

Prayer team to pray for our communities meets every Wednesday, 1-3 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 813 S.E. Lane, Roseburg. The group also meets every Friday from 7-9 p.m. at various churches in the Roseburg area. For the month of September, they will meet at Winston Foursquare Gospel Center, 540 S.E. Revival in Myrtle Creek

Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 219 S.E. Neal, Myrtle Creek. Revival, Sept. 10-14 at 7 p.m. Brother and Sister Leroy Goodman from Florida will be preaching. Refreshments will be served after the Sept. 12 service so everyone can meet them. 863-6694.



Aglow

MYRTLE CREEK — Canyonville/Myrtle Creek Aglow Lighthouse meets 7 p.m. Thursday, at 181 Grant St., Tri City with speaker Shelly Powlison who will speak about wisdom and foolishness as the Bible tells it. Shelly is the wife of the pastor at New Life in Roseburg and mother of three children. 863-4390.



Church of Christ, Christian

TRI-CITY — Tri-City Church of Christ, 180 Briggs. Service 10:30 a.m. Marriage class based on the movie “Fireproof” is being held Sundays at 9:30 a.m. for 12 weeks with clips from the movie and marriage challenge from the movie and book “I Dare You.” Children’s classes of all ages during that time. 863-6657.



Community

Pine Grove Community Church, 1729 Buckhorn Rd. Awana Club started last Wednesday for ages K-6th grade. Club hours are 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays September through May. Registration at 5:45 p.m. Activities include games, Bible memorization, friendships and character building. 672-7278.



Methodist

Religious Science

Roseburg Church of Religious Science, Center for Spiritual Living, Southgate Center, 1949 S.E. Stephens. Sunday service 10:30 a.m. Two new classes for September: “Seven Spiritual Laws of Success” exploring the book by Deepak Chopra. Wednesdays 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 17 - Nov. 5; and “Building a Healing Consciousness” Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 18 - Nov. 6. Both taught by Rev. Bonnie Anderson.
