The undefeated Yoncalla Eagles volleyball team continued its hot streak at the North Douglas/Yoncalla Tournament, winning all their matches Saturday at Drain and Yoncalla.
Yoncalla defeated the Warriors 25-23, 25-21 in the championship match.
Alexa Blanchsill recorded 10 kills and 12 digs for the Eagles in the final. Hayley Reynolds had seven kills and eight digs, Amanda Thorp registered seven kills and 11 digs and Heather McDonald added three service aces and 18 assists.
For North Douglas, Rochelle Hescock recorded five kills, nine assists and seven digs and Elyssa Emel had seven kills and two blocks.
Earlier, Yoncalla beat Douglas JV 25-5, 25-15 and Oakland 25-21, 25-7. North Douglas, which finished first in its pool, defeated Camas Valley 25-14, 25-20, and Crow, 21-25, 25-12, 15-12.
I thought the team played really well and I was happy we saved our best volleyball for the championship game, Ann Campbell said. We did well blocking.
On the day, Blanchsill recorded 38 kills, Reynolds had 32 kills and 13 blocks, Thorp notched 30 digs, 26 service aces and 33 service points and McDonald added 62 assists.
Emel had 12 blocks and 27 kills, Kaitlynn Rice registered 30 kills and 39 digs and Hescock added 15 aces.
In pool play, the Eagles defeated Mohawk 25-9, 25-10, Camas Valley 25-10, 25-15 and Oakland 25-18, 27-25.
Yoncalla (5-0 overall, 4-0 Mountain View) travels to Central Linn at 6 p.m. Tuesday. North Douglas (6-4 overall, 2-2 MVC) hosts Oakland at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Roseburg falls to Jesuit
MEDFORD No. 8 Roseburg lost to third-ranked Jesuit in the first round of the championship bracket at the Rogue Valley Invitational.In game two, we played right with them to 16 points then they got a four-point run on us, Roseburg head coach Bruce Myers said. Unfortunately, they are ranked third in state. You cant let them do that.
The Indians, who finished third in their pool, went 3-3 on the day, beating Eagle Point 25-12, 25-12, splitting with Canby 25-17, 16-25, and losing to Oregon City, 17-25, 21-25.
We got off to a very slow start and I was pleased that we played better as the day went along, Myers said.
Roseburg (8-2 overall, 0-1 Southwest Conference) travels to South Medford at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Elks lose in C-O final
DAYS CREEK The Elks lost to Prospect 23-25, 21-25 in the Cross-Over Tournament red pool championship match. Olivia Golemon recorded seven kills and six digs and Abiyah Watkins added three aces and eight digs to lead the Wolves.
In Game one, we lost a big lead, Days Creek coach Ron Dunn said. We lost a little momentum and we had way too many unforced errors throughout the match.
Gilchrist edged Butte Falls 24-26, 25-21, 15-11 in the blue pool final at Canyonville Christian Academy.
In the red pool, Days Creek and Prospect both finished 5-1, while Gilchrist and Pacific went 1-6. In the blue pool, Powers finished 5-1, Riddle 4-2, Butte Falls 3-2 and CCA 0-6.
In semifinal matches, Gilchrist defeated CCA 25-27, 25-14, 15-8, and Butte Falls topped Pacific 25-16, 25-17. Prospect beat Riddle in two games and Days Creek defeated Powers, 25-12, 25-16.
On the day, Golemon recorded 27 kills, Watkins had 48 assists and Rachel Walters earned 12 blocks.
The Wolves (9-2 overall, 5-0 Skyline) travel to Elkton at 6 p.m. Thursday.
La Pine beats Lancers
TRI CITY South Umpqua dropped a 26-24, 23-25, 15-13 decision to La Pine in bracket play at its own eight-team invitational on Saturday.Shelby Bay had six kills and five digs, Taylor Whitmore 13 assists and five digs, and Melodie Bliven five kills for the Lancers. South Umpqua went 4-2 in pool play, tying North Valley and Creswell for first.
Creswell defeated Bandon 25-18, 25-21 in the championship match.
The Lancers resume Far West League play Tuesday, hosting Siuslaw.
Churchill edges Douglas
SHERWOOD Churchill came back to beat Douglas in the championship final of the Sherwood Tournament, 25-14, 25-23 after falling to the Trojans in pool pla Friday.The Trojans (9-4) beat Hillsboro and Hood River Valley before sweeping the 5A Lancers 25-16, 25-10 then beat Cleveland 25-21, 25-14 in the semifinals.
Courtney Bush finished with 38 kills and 12 blocks on the day, Alaina Findlay had 38 assists and 17 digs, Kenzie Dahl ahd 12 aces and 20 digs for Douglas.
