Golemon: One of two Wolves on all-tourney team
PORTLAND The Days Creek volleyball team beat Damascus Christian 25-20, 25-22, 23-25, 15-11 in the championship match of the Columbia Christian Invitational at Cascade College.
Olivia Golemon made nine kills and seven digs for the Wolves against the Eagles. KDean Ramos recorded 17 assists, five aces and five kills and Abiyah Watkins registered three blocks, six digs and seven kills. Rachel Walters added six blocks.
Golemon and Watkins were named to the all-tournament team.
The Wolves (12-2) defeated Oregon Episcopal 25-21, 25-20 in the semifinals. Days Creek edged Catlin Gabel 25-23, 25-19, split with Damascus Christian 20-25, 25-23 and beat De La Salle 26-24, 25-10 in pool play.

Eagles lose in semis at East Linn Tournament
LEBANON Yoncalla lost to Nestucca in the semifinals of the East Linn Tournament Saturday.The Eagles (12-2) beat East Linn in the quarterfinals and edged Scio in pool play.
A couple of kids were sick for us, Yoncalla coach Bill Gauer said. All in all, we were quite pleased with our performance.
