DRAIN North Douglas scored 37 unanswered points after giving up a 72-yard touchdown pass on the first play of the game and whipped Riddle 37-7 in Mountain View Conference football Friday.
Riddles Brock Goldbeck threw a halfback pass on a sweep to Brodie Goldbeck on the first play from scrimmage. But after that, the Warriors (3-1, 1-1 Mountain View Conference) allowed only 11 yards rushing and 94 in the air.
Riddle took us by surprise on the first play, but after that we settled in and played Warrior football, N.D. coach James Shelton said. Our defense played great, as they have so far this year.
Jake Rice ran for 121 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Cameron Derrick scored on a quarterback keeper and thew a TD pass to Tanner Toy. Derrick finished 15-for-19 passing for 166 yards.
Will Hollamon had nine tackles and Justin Langdon had two sacks for North Douglas. Brock Goldbeck had 15 tackles for the Irish (0-4, 0-2).

YONCALLA The Eagles rallied from a 12-point deficit and downed Glendale in a Mountain View Conference game their first win over the Pirates since 1997.
Sophomore quarterback Colton Kingery ran for 71 yards, including a 38-yard touchdown, on six carries, but had to be carted off in an ambulance after suffering a knee injury with nine minutes to go in the fourth quarter.
Bresnan Williams, who carried the ball 28 times for 139 yards, put the Pirates (1-3, 0-2 MVC) on the board first and Cameron Smiths 26-yard touchdown reception from Justin Ring provided them with a 12-0 advantage.
Heath Anson rumbled in a 15-yard score and QB Tyler Whiting found Evan duBellier for a 25-yard touchdown pass to take the lead. Anson finished with 18 carries for 71 yards.
Defensively, Yoncalla (2-2, 1-1) earned 15 tackles for loss and recorded five sacks.
The Eagles survived despite losing four fumbles.

OAKLAND Ethan Sweeden had another big night and the Oakers picked up their second straight Mountain View Conference victory.
Sweeden rushed for four touchdowns and 171 yards, coming up just a yard shy of the career high he set in Oaklands 28-8 victory over Glendale last weekend.
Nathan Adams carried the ball 14 times for 118 yards and Kody Bendele gained 91 yards on 11 runs. Grant Adams made a fumble recovery and chipped in a 1-yard rushing touchdown. Josh Reber had an interception and Brandon Zimmerman made seven tackles for the Oakers (2-2, 2-0 MVC).
The Oakers limited the Dragons to 71 yards total offense.

South Umpqua 43Illinois Valley 16
TRI CITY South Umpqua closed the non-league portion of its schedule with a blowout win over the defending Skyline Conference champions at Loghry Field.
Triton Crane ran for 104 yards on 23 carries and scored two touchdowns and Ryan Smedley was 6-for-10 passing for 100 yards for the Lancers (2-3), who kept Illinois Valley off the scoreboard until the fourth quarter.
D.C. Phillips got S.U. the lead by sacking quarterback Roger Hults in the end zone for a safety. Ky Schoonhoven caught a 43-yard TD pass in the second quarter and Josh Kennedy threw a 13-yarder to Austin Marsh in the fourth.

PLEASANT HILL Cody Bagwell had a pair of touchdown runs as the Billies defeated the Trojans in a non-league game.
David Froude gave Douglas (1-4) the lead in the second quarter, catching a 30-yard TD pass from Paul Polamalu. Sky Woods was the leading rusher for the Trojans with 46 yards on eight carries, while Mike Ruppert finished with 10 tackles on defense.

SUTHERLIN Clint Sager scored two touchdowns to help lead the Mustangs past the Bulldogs in a non-league game.
Quarterback Spencer Apland threw 47- and 45-yard touchdown passes for the Mustangs. Tony Guillen paced the Bulldogs (1-4) with eight carries for 27 yards.
SKYLINE LEAGUE
Elkton 61Prospect 7
ELKTON Mack Smith ran for four touchdowns and threw two TD passes to Mario Celis as Elkton won its first game of the season.
The Elks (1-2) racked up 457 yards of total offense and led 41-0 before Prospect got on the board.
Smith finished with 135 passing yards and 111 on the ground. Brent Whipple ran for 65 yards, had 27 receiving yards and threw for 63 more. Steven Garrison blocked a Cougar punt and returned it for a touchdown in the first quarter.
Maté Eberhardt had 11 tackles and two fumble recoveries and Brian Davis had four of teams nine sacks.

KLAMATH FALLS Kris Hirschbock ran for four touchdowns and passed for another, leading the host Timberwolves past the Wolves in a Skyline League game.
Triad (4-0 Skyline) led 30-14 at halftime. Bronson Owens finished with 166 yards rushing on 25 carries and scored two TDs for Days Creek (1-3, 1-2), which held a 431-319 advantage in total offense but failed to score three times inside the 10 in the third quarter. Travis Fuller added 64 yards rushing and Tyrel Ott had a 1-yard scoring run.
