CROSS COUNTRY: Roseburg boys run for ninth in Albany, Oelrich takes sixth

ALBANY — The Roseburg boys cross country team placed ninth at the Brooks Harrier Classic at Bryant Park Saturday and Bryanna Oelrich placed sixth in the girls race.

Soccer player Dan Faas made his season debut, finishing 30th in 17:03 and Drew Van Anrooy was 40th in 17:22. Stephen Cruz (54th) and Bruno Gegenhuber (81st) joined Faas as the soccer team had the weekend off.

Roseburg’s girls, missing several runners due to SATs being held and injuries, placed 12th. Rylie Hancock was 49th in 20:58.
