Police and Fire Logs: Dec. 31, 2008



These logs are the highlights of initial emergency calls and reports to the Douglas County Dispatch Center. They do not represent all the incidents or their final outcomes.



POLICE LOG

Tuesday

Douglas County sheriff

12:41 a.m. — Someone put fireworks on a porch and lit them on the 200 block of Sether Avenue in Glendale.

2:48 p.m. — Tires punctured on vehicle on the 300 block of North Main Street in Riddle.

11:39 p.m. — Assault on the 100 block of Deer Hollow Lane at Diamond Lake.



Myrtle Creek Police

7:04 p.m. — Woman injured during domestic disturbance on Northeast Faculty Row.



Roseburg Police

10:16 a.m. — Theft of dog food from Bi-Mart on the 1300 block of Garden Valley Boulevard. Suspect arrested.

3:40 p.m. — Motorcycle stolen from the 100 block of Lane Avenue.

6:56 p.m. — A man who had withdrawn cash from an ATM on the 1700 block of Northeast Stephens Street was approached by another man who demanded the money. The suspect was arrested.



Sutherlin Police

8:48 a.m. — Tires slashed on the 200 block of Valley Court.



ACCIDENTS

Tuesday

Douglas County sheriff

2:27 p.m. — Single-vehicle, non-injury accident on the 4300 block of Territorial Highway in Curtin.



Oregon State Police

11:28 a.m. – Vehicle off embankment into trees on Highway 101 near Five Mile Road near Tahkenitch Lake. No injuries reported. Reedsport Ambulance also responded.



Roseburg Police

1 p.m. — Three-vehicle accident on the 900 block of Stewart Parkway. A woman who had a broken arm may have injured it again. Medcom Ambulance and Roseburg Fire Department also responded.



ARRESTS

The News-Review publishes the names of individuals who have been arrested on suspicion of at least one felony charge or three misdemeanors or a combination of felony and misdemeanor charges.

Tuesday

Douglas County sheriff

Timothy Thomas Neves, 23, of Myrtle Creek, on suspicion of first-degree theft.



Roseburg Police

Nicholas Miguel Villa, 20, of Roseburg, on suspicion of second-degree robbery.



Sutherlin Police

Sandra Jean Harding, 48, of Sutherlin, on suspicion of second-degree theft, second-degree forgery, computer crime and mail theft.



FIRE RUNS

Tuesday

Roseburg Fire

1:03 p.m. — Vehicle fire on the 2600 block of Douglas Avenue.

4:13 p.m. — Dryer fire on the 1500 block of Jefferson Street.



Fair Oaks Rural Fire District

5:11 p.m. — Oven on fire on the 1200 block of South Side Road near Sutherlin.
