Age 80, of Roseburg, Oregon, passed away at the local hospital on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 from cancer. Bob was born March 4, 1928, in Benton, Illinois, to parents, Percy and Opal Warren. Bob graduated from Benton Township High School in 1946. He also spent some of his school years in St. Louise, Missouri. He earned a BA degree in June 1952 from Easter Washington College of Education. He also earned a Master of Arts Degree in Education from San Jose State College on January 1972. Bob taught fifth, sixth, and seventh grades in Spokane, Washington for 16 years, and taught fifth and sixth grade for 20 years in San Jose, California. He also served as Vice Principal during his teaching career and retired in June 1988. Bob was a Captain in the Army reserves for 20 years, until his retirement in 1970. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Gladys, which they have spent 41 wonderful years together. They retired in Roseburg, Oregon, in 1988, and have had many happy times traveling in their RV and camping with their kids and grandkids. Bob and Gladys loved bowling, traveling, and golfing together. He will be greatly missed. Bob was preceded in death by his mother and father and his son, Michael Warren. He is survived by his half-sister, Judy Cresswell of Missouri; son, Matt Warren and wife, Dana of Spokane, Washington; son, Pat Warren and wife, Chickie of Spokane, Washington; son, John Warren and wife, Julie of Spokane, Washington; son, Steve Warren and wife, Laurie of Spokane, Washington; son, William Warren of Spokane, Washington; step-son, Joe Aten of Wilder, Idaho; daughter, Maria Crabb and husband, Bob of Spokane, Washington; daughter, Cathy Fessler of Wyoming; daughter, Margaret and husband, Carl of Spokane, Washington; daughter, Roseanne Kelly of Spokane, Washington; daughter, Rebecca Mesa and husband, Chris of Roseburg, Oregon; step-daughter, Carol Louie and husband, Gary of San Jose, California; step-daughter, Debra Norton and husband, Jack of Parma, Idaho. Bob is survived by 27 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, who all loved their grand pa very much. Bob and Gladys were both baptized 12 years ago and are members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. We want to thank our church family for all their love and support and prayers during this sad time. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the Roseburg Seventh Day Adventist Church at 1109 NW Garden Valley Blvd.
