The FBI served a search warrant at North River Boats Inc.s production factory in Green on Thursday.
GREEN The Federal Bureau of Investigation served a search warrant at North River Boats Inc.s production factory in Green this morning.
The federal search warrant is sealed and details about exactly what and who are listed in the warrant were not immediately available.
The FBI is serving a federal search warrant at the location, and I cant say much more, said FBI spokeswoman Beth Anne Steele this afternoon.
The agents who conducted the search will likely report back to a federal judge in Eugene on Friday or Monday about what was seized from the building, which is located at 1750 Green Siding Road, Steele said. Once the agents report to the judge, the warrant should be unsealed, she said.
A call to North River Boats owner and president Brian Brush was not returned.
At about 11:30 a.m., one man wearing a FBI jacket and a handful of other people were standing among empty desks in the North River office but would not comment on the search.
Several anonymous callers to The News-Review claimed that agents seized computers, told employees to leave the property and locked the gates to the plant.
Officers from the Roseburg Police Department and the Douglas County Sheriffs Office are assisting with the FBI case, Steele said.
In late February, North River Marine closed its four retail stores and surrendered most of its assets to Wells Fargo Bank. At the time, Brush said the company remained strong and was continuing to sell boats for government agencies and recreational dealers.
Additional information will be reported as it becomes available.
