A Tacoma, Wash., woman was injured Saturday in an all-terrain vehicle crash at the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area in Winchester Bay.
Rachael Bennatt, 21, was operating a 1997 Yamaha Blaster alone when she crashed in the sand. Someone found her lying on the ground with the ATV on its side at about 4:45 p.m., according to a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report.
Bennatt, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by ambulance to Lower Umpqua Hospital in Reedsport with unknown injuries.
