A Tenmile woman remained hospitalized this morning after her car was struck by a school bus Wednesday on Olalla Road.
Tamara Hunt, 20, was unlawfully parked in a 2000 Dodge Neon in the southbound lane near the 100 block when a school bus struck the car shortly after 4 p.m., according to a Douglas County Sheriffs Office report.
The bus driver, Christina M. Mills, 33, of Winston, did not see the car until it was too late, and could not avoid the crash. Mills and the passengers in the bus were not injured.
Hunt was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg, where she was listed in fair condition this morning, a hospital spokeswoman said. A baby in her car was not injured.
Hunt was cited for stopping illegally, while Mills was cited for following too closely.
