Chris Shoopman, a program manager at United Community Action Network, smashes through a wall of old refrigerators while performing the "Frigi-Dare Jump of Death" between races at the Douglas County Speedway in Roseburg on Saturday night. Half the proceeds from the sale of 500 tickets for the races supported UCAN's Refrigerator Replacement Program that offers low-income people energy-efficient refrigerators at little or no cost. Shoopman survived the jump.
